ANATOLIA IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF TEMPLE ARTS

Most of these temples were built in Anatolia, between the rivers Euphrates and Tigris.

Located in southeastern Anatolia, 12.000 years old Göbeklitepe is the world’s oldest known temple. It is around 7.000 years older than the Stonehenge and the Pyramids.
Another Neolithic site, Çatalhöyük dated between 7400 BC and 5200 BC is a very rare example of a well-preserved Neolithic settlement and has been considered one of the key sites for understanding human prehistory.
In addition to them, hundreds of antic sites including Ephesus, Troia, Assos, Pergamon, Magnesia, Sardes, Priene, Herakleia, Hieropolis, Laodikeia, Afrodisias, Xanthos, Mira, Olympos, Phaselis, Aspendos, Alacahöyük, Zeugma, Suayb and Ani ruins are located in Turkey.
